Fountain Grass produces soft, feathery flower plumes in late summer and autumn that arch gracefully over the foliage - one of the most naturalistic and movement-filled of all ornamental grasses. Full sun. Well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Cut back hard to about 10cm in late winter to encourage strong new growth. Rubra Dwarf produces the same vivid burgundy-red foliage as the standard Rubrum in a compact plant that stays around 50-60cm. All the colour and character of the full-sized form in a more manageable scale for smaller gardens, borders, and pots.
