Kennedia Coccinea
Coral Vine is a WA endemic climber and scrambler producing masses of vivid coral-red pea flowers from late winter through spring - a long, generous flowering display on a vigorous plant. The coral-red is unusually warm for a pea flower - brighter and more orange-toned than the standard red kennedias - and it shows exceptionally well against grey foliage or pale fences. It will climb a fence or trellis if given support, or scramble across a bank as a groundcover. Full sun to part shade. Well-drained sandy soil. Phosphorus-free fertiliser. Drought tolerant once established.
