Fittonia - the Nerve Plant or Mosaic Plant - is a compact, low-growing tropical perennial producing small, intricately veined leaves that look almost hand-painted. The veining patterns are the feature: strong, contrasting networks of colour running across each leaf in combinations of pink, red, white, silver, and green. Excellent for terrariums, small pots, and grouped arrangements where the intricate foliage can be appreciated up close. Needs higher humidity than most indoor plants - a terrarium or a pebble tray with water suits it well. Bright to medium indirect light. Keep soil consistently moist. High humidity essential. Red Flame produces dark green leaves with vivid red veining - the strongest, most intense colour in the Fittonia range. The red is warm and saturated, outstanding in mixed terrarium plantings.
