Brown Turkey is one of Perth's most generous and reliable fig varieties - a large, spreading tree producing brown-skinned fruit with deeply sweet, rose-pink flesh over an exceptionally long season. Unlike Black Genoa which has one main crop, Brown Turkey reliably produces two: a breba crop in early summer on last season's wood, followed by the main crop on new growth in autumn. This extended season means fresh figs from the tree from December through May in a good year. Full sun. Well-drained soil.
