The lime Perth gardens were built for. Tahitian is seedless, juicy, thin-skinned and productive through the warmer months - which in Perth means most of the year. It's the lime behind the gin and tonic, the Thai curry, and the guacamole, and it grows vigorously in full sun with very little fuss once established. Full sun, well-drained soil. Limes are slightly more heat-sensitive than lemons - mulch well and avoid planting against a west-facing wall that radiates afternoon heat. Water deeply, feed with citrus fertiliser in spring and summer. Protect from frost in early years.
