Cream Ridge is a compact New Zealand Christmas Bush relative producing dense clusters of creamy-white flowers with distinctive long stamens - the same starbursting staminal character of the genus but in a restrained, cool-toned palette rather than the vivid reds most people associate with Metrosideros. It flowers in summer and grows to around 1.5-2m, forming a naturally dense, rounded shrub that requires minimal pruning. The cream flowers show well against the dark, glossy foliage and hold for several weeks. Full sun. Well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established.
